Al Gusto in Unteruhldingen

The Al Gusto is a nice eatery with a good kitchen in Unteruhldingen. In summer you can sit outside under parasols and enjoy a good wine or a cold beer. Lake Constance is in the immediate vicinity.

It was our first time at Lake Constance and by chance we found this nice Italian restaurant. The food is great and not too expensive. That's why we ate there every evening and tried many dishes. Everything delicious! Especially recommended: the grilled salmon, just great! The boss Michele and his staff are totally uncomplicated and nice. We cannot understand the bad reviews we have seen here. We were shocked. We have only seen positive things this week. We greet all employees and wish the best in this chaotic time. Hold on!

The fries from the little one were forgotten! And we got our food shifted! But the food was delicious.

Lousy tourist rip-off. Not recommendable. As read in another review, the best part was the drinks. It said something about homemade lasagna on the outside, but this was absolutely not the case. The lasagna looked as if it had been baked before and as if new cheese was simply sprinkled on it. The rest of the food wasn't recommendable either. Unfortunately, you can't give less than one star.

Very friendly staff. Long waiting times (60 minutes, four people, restaurant full). Food neither bad nor outstanding, prices reasonable, quality okay. As a school grade 3 + / 2-.

We went to eat there today and my husband already had a bad feeling when entering the place! A table was assigned to us by the boss, who incidentally wore his mouth and nose protection on his chin. We sat there for a while until we were noticed again and given a menu. We actually only stayed on site because we were very hungry. We opted for 2 glasses of Coke, a schnitzel plate and an XXL burger, each with fries. In advance, the Coke was the only good thing there. Hence the star! When the burger was served, it looked quite good at first sight, even though the bun was the wrong way round. The fries with it were a joke, there wasn't even a handful of them! My husband had to keep waiting for his meal. A completely roasted, almost black schnitzel (cordon bleu) was only served on request. The other schnitzel was okay. When asked if everything was ok, we gave a clear and honest answer that nobody really cared about. The boss reacted extremely arrogant and completely disinterested. Typical tourist rip-off, completely overpriced and zero quality! Absolutely not to be recommended!

Very uncomplicated, very open-minded and friendly and honest owner, a visit with 12 people, including 8 children!, Was possible at short notice. Comfortable seating, tables a bit small and no frills, dishes classic Italian (no pizzas), served promptly, good quality. Only the espresso could be fine-tuned to me. The right choice for a spontaneous, simple restaurant visit!

We cannot confirm the negative experiences either. My wife and I went to eat here yesterday and were welcomed and served in a very friendly and nice way. The food was served punctually at 6 p.m. after consultation and was very tasty. We also find the price-performance ratio to be absolutely okay. We love to come back next time we vacation here.

Corona or corona no - I wanted to have lunch with the family. After waiting 10 minutes for instruction (to an available free space) at the entrance, I left again. Simply deserved masses of so many lousy reviews - and no - there was something going on, but the service staff simply passed me by in silence.

We have been to this restaurant several times in the last 2 years and have always been very satisfied. The food, the drinks and the ice cream were always delicious. The price level also fits. The chef Michele and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. We can recommend it 100% and will visit it again next time you stay in Unteruldingen.

CAUTION Tourist trap - frozen meals are served at utopian prices. Corona rules are also a foreign word. Catastrophic, never again! Looks very nice from the outside, but appearances are very deceptive

Not even good as an ice cream parlor !! Tourist trap !! The shop is really not recommended! The waitresses were very snotty, the food was not good and very expensive! We were presented with almost completely melted ice. After we addressed this and complained, the waitress didn't even say goodbye to us.

We wanted to have coffee and ice cream there before our boat trip. After the placement we were asked several times what we wanted again, while all guests who came after us already had their drinks. We were simply forgotten again and again. After the third round we went. Worst service on the whole of Lake Constance.

Food was okay, but could use more flavor, especially the Alsace-style tarte flambée - unfortunately didn't taste like anything. The atmosphere was nice, but nothing special. The waitress was nice too.

Delicious! I thought it was a typical tourist restaurant, high prices for mediocre food. NOT CORRECT! It was not cheap but very tasty! Ambience okay, service good! No complaints!

First we had to wait a long time to order at all. Then the drinks and the food came really late. The food was ok, but not really tasty. We had no salt & pepper on the table to season. The sad highlight was the "cocktails", which did not deserve the name and were inedible. Unfortunately I can not recommend the restaurant.

Waited for 30 minutes before having to ask them where our order was. They just said it will come out soon. Then 10 minutes later they told us they mixed up our order. It took them almost an hour to serve us this half size portion of pasta that wasn't even good. Don't come here

Great service and delicious food.... from the gnocchi to the gelato to the cappuccino!! Michael is fun!

Excellent service, reasonable prices, great selection, food was outstanding. The owner is from Sicily.
